NewWave customers have the ability to Opt-In to data usage alerts. These alerts are sent via an in-browser notification or pop-up, as well as an email to the email address on file when you reach 75%, 95%, and 100% of your data usage. If you have a pop-up blocker in place, you may not receive the in-browser notification or you will have to allow for the pop up to appear.
Note: The alert message will only be displayed within a web browser (Example: Internet Explorer). The alerts will NOT display through items such as video streaming or online games.
The data usage notification will remain until you open a web browser. This means it is possible to receive a notification and not see if for a few days if you do not open a web browser.
To Opt-In to Data Usage Alerts, simply follow the instructions below.
- Log into your Customer Portal.
- Click the “settings” tab on the top navigation bar.
- Click the “Notification Preferences” sub-tab.
- Find “Data Usage Alerts” in the table and slide the bar to the right to turn on data usage alerts.
