How do I set up and/or retrieve my voice mail messages?
PLEASE NOTE: Voice mail is only available to those customers who subscribe to it as part of their phone package.
Setting up your voice mail is simple and only takes a couple of minutes. Here’s how:
Step 1: From home phone – Dial *55
Your default password will be 0000 unless the password has been reset, in which case it will be 123456.
Step 2: System will start a mini tutorial and offer the following:
- Change password (Password must be 4 – 19 digits)
- Record name
- Record personal greeting
Note: You have two minutes available to record your greeting message.
How to check messages
When there is a Voice mail waiting to be checked there will be an intermittent/stutter dial tone when the receiver is picked up or if the phone may have a red flashing light if it is equipped with a “voice mail waiting” indicator.
NOTE: A total of 100 voicemail messages can be stored on the Cable ONE Voicemail service. Voicemails are not deleted automatically.
To check messages from home:
Step 1: Dial *55
Step 2: Enter Password and press “#”.
To check messages away from home:
Step 1: Dial home number
Step 2: When the Voice Mail greeting starts playing, press *
Step 3: Enter password and press #
All methods of checking messages will lead to an identical Main Menu (As shown below)
- Review new messages – press 1
- Record new message – press 2
- Review other messages – press 3

You can adjust the number of rings before the voicemail answers the phone by logging into MyPhone.
This feature allows you to access your voicemail using your Cable ONE telephone without entering your voicemail password. NOTE: You may hear “Welcome to your Com Pilot Voice portal…” prior to hearing voicemail menu options.
Notes: You can reset the password to default through the Web Portal. If you have Call Privacy set to “Anonymous”, *55 will not work without having to enter your mailbox number and password. You can temporarily disable Call Privacy on a per-call basis by dialing *82 before dialing *55 to access your voice mail.
